Flux for electric arc furnace

FluMag® accelerates basic slag formation in an electric arc furnace and builds a wear-resistant slag layer on the lining, which improves durability.

FluMag®  flux with a high magnesium oxide content is used to improve the durability of the lining in modern electric steelmaking furnaces (electric-arc furnaces).

In an electric-arc furnace FluMag®  is used to accelerate basic slag formation and to build a wear-resistant slag layer on the lining (Patent No. 2645170 RU).

FluMag advantages

01 An effective and technologically simple replacement for complex magnesian fluxes that contain dolomite and magnesite

02 Quickly increases magnesium
oxide content in slag

03Improves slag foaming

04Builds an efficient wear-resistant slag layer on furnace lining during metal tapping

05Improves furnace lining durability

06Reduces the cost of steel
